Water Healing Ceremony

Questions before the water.

Everything you might want to know about what this is, where it happens, and whether it is for you.

What is a Water Healing Ceremony?

It is a guided somatic session in warm water. You are held and gently moved while breath, sound, and touch invite your nervous system into deep surrender. It is a body-based ceremony of release, renewal, and rebirth — designed for transformation through receiving, not performing.

Where is it held?

Sessions are held in private, heated pools in intimate settings. I am primarily based in New York City and the Hamptons, and I also offer seasonal residencies in Miami, Tulum, and Los Angeles. The exact location is shared after you book.

How long is a session?

A session is 90 minutes. That includes landing, intention, time in the water, and a short closing integration.

What should I bring or wear?

Bring a comfortable swimsuit. Towels are provided. Afterward, many people prefer loose, comfortable clothing and a quiet window to rest and integrate.

Do I need experience?

No experience is needed. This is not something you do — it is something you receive. You do not need to know how to swim, float, or practice anything beforehand.

What if I can't swim?

You do not need to swim. The water is shallow, and you are continuously supported throughout the entire session. You are simply held and supported while your body relaxes.

What if I'm afraid of water?

This is a common and welcome entry point. Many people come with a fear of water, fear of letting go, or fear of being held. The session moves at your body's pace, and you can pause or adjust anything at any time. The water becomes a safe place to meet what has been held in the body.

What if I have a fear of nose clips or holding my breath underwater?

That can be worked with. Nothing is forced. Breath is guided gently, and you are never asked to do anything that does not feel safe. The session is shaped around your comfort.

What happens during a session?

We begin with intention and landing. Then you enter the warm water and are supported through gentle movement, breath, and sound. As your body relaxes, what has been stored — grief, tension, memory, emotion — may begin to move. Afterward, we close and give the shift space to settle.

Will my face or ears be underwater?

In a passive session, the head may float at or just below the water's surface. Aquatic earplugs are available, or you can bring your own. We can also adapt the session if you prefer not to put your ears in the water.

Who is this for?

It is for anyone seeking a profound inner experience: nervous-system dysregulation, chronic stress, trauma, grief, life transitions, physical tension, anxiety, fear of water, or a deep spiritual opening. It is especially supportive for single mothers carrying too much on their own, people moving through divorce, older bodies that need a gentler way, busy entrepreneurs and high-performers who have spent years in control, and anyone ready to learn what surrender feels like. It is also for those who simply want to feel held and renewed.

What about aftercare?

Plan to hydrate, rest, and avoid alcohol or caffeine afterward. Give yourself space for whatever arises — emotions, clarity, softness, or stillness. Journaling, quiet time, or a gentle walk can support integration.

Is it safe if I'm pregnant?

Water work can be deeply supportive during pregnancy. The weightlessness and freedom in the water offer relief and ease that are difficult to find on land. I recommend avoiding the final months of pregnancy, and I always tailor the session to your body and ask that you have clearance from your medical provider.

How do I sign up?

Reach out directly to reserve your session. You can choose a single session, a couples session, or the three-session package with integration. I'll confirm availability and share the location details after booking.
